Track Leaderboard 4-16

Below are the Findlay area track and field leaders for the 2007 high school track season so far. We run this list weekly in The Courier but haven't been able to format it for the website yet.

This is one of those tedious things we do at the newspaper that I actually enjoy and take pride in. We have a computer program that takes all of the results we type up, sorts them and spits out this listing of top performances. Unfortunately the program was on the fritz and I had to do this one by hand. It's fixed now and I should have a better handle on keeping the listings up to date.

Actually I faxed and emailed all 30 schools we cover to make sure this is updated with everyone's top performances each week. I'll post the list each day that I update it.

This is the first track leaderboard so it may be incomplete...but it will get better just as we all hope the weather gets better.

NOTEWORTHY:
NEW COMET: Genoa has hired a replacement for football coach Bill Jones (a former FHS head football coach by the way). Delta's Mike Vicars will take charge of the struggling program. I have to tell you I am amazed at the Genoa's recent lack of success on the gridiron. I mean that school has some terrific athletes. I've seen their wrestling, baseball and other teams and wow other schools would kill for some of those kids. Hopefully Vicars will get the ship righted.
