Picks Week 10
OK it’s week 10 end of the picks and end of the Weekly football notes. Thank goodness. Man it takes me a couple of hours to do the notes each week. As for doing weekly basketball notes….Forgettttttaaaaa aboutttt ittt! They play 20 games and the season lasts forever. Plus, while I’ll still be blogging about basketball this year, my first love in the winter is wrestling.
Anyway I didn’t put my picks on the blog last week because they were in the newspaper. I beat my buddy Buster by a scant game because I lucked out and took L-B over Hardin Northern. Last week I was a paltry 12-5 bringing the season mark to 115-38.
Notes will be posted before I leave work. In the meantime here are the picks and I’m off to cover the Hardin Northern-Arlington district volleyball match tonight.
Findlay TROJANS over Napoleon WILDCATS -- Hopefully a couple of wins to end the season will shut some of the critics up.
Cory-Rawson HORNETS over Arcadia REDSKINS -- Arcadia is much better, but still might not be able to beat the Hornets.
Hardin Northern POLAR BEARS over Arlington RED DEVILS -- Da Bears might have a chip on their shoulder after last week’s beating.
McComb PANTHERS over Leipsic VIKINGS -- The Panthers better pick up the defense if they want to last in the postseason.
Liberty-Benton EAGLES over Pandora-Gilboa ROCKETS -- No let down for the Eagles with a home playoff game at stake.
Van Buren BLACK KNIGHTS over Vanlue WILDCATS -- The Cats got a ride on the fire trucks last week, but the Knights have .500 in their sights.
Hopewell-Loudon CHIEFTAINS over Mohawk WARRIORS -- Even with the loss of Brickner, I think the Chieftains win.
Seneca East TIGERS over North Baltimore TIGERS -- Time to get ready for basketball at NB.
Carey BLUE DEVILS over Tiffin Calvert SENECAS -- Carey scored 54 points last week? Pinch me I must be dreaming.
Fremont St. Joseph CRIMSON STREAKS over Fostoria St. Wendelin MOHAWKS -- Laugh if you must but 2 wins is step in the right direction for the Mohawks.
Bellevue REDMEN over Fostoria Senior REDMEN -- It’s been a disappointing year at Memorial Stadium.
Willard CRIMSON FLASHES over Upper Sandusky RAMS -- Can Coach Will survive another offseason like last year?
Columbus Grove BULLDOGS over Bluffton PIRATES -- Dogs need this game much more than the Pirates do.
Lima Central Catholic THUNDERBIRDS over Ada BULLDOGS -- LCC in a thriller. Score: 151-149.
Patrick Henry PATRIOTS over Wauseon INDIANS -- The league is on the line, not to mention a playoff shot.
Elmwood ROYALS over Eastwood EAGLES -- I think Elmwood finally gets over the hump in the Battle of the Woods.
Ontario WARRIORS over Riverdale FALCONS -- A winnable game for the Falcons but I’m still taking the big school.
Ottawa-Glandorf TITANS at Defiance BULLDOGS -- Giving the nod to O-G.
