NOTABLE: It will be the 81st meeting between the Black Knights and Redskins on the gridiron with Van Buren leading the series 44-32-4 .. NOTABLE: The Hornets lead the all-time series with their rivals from Leipsic 31-10 … Leipsic’s third quarter touchdown was a 67-yard touchdown pass from Arty Lomeli to Mike Benton in last week’s win over Arcadia, it is the Vikings’ only score this season … Ty Castillo had a team-leading 56 yards rushing on 13 carries for Leipsic, Ryan Morin netted 43 yards on 22 carries, Lomeli was 6-of-11 passing for 131 yards with Benton recording 3 catches for 87 yards in last week’s win for the Vikings … Cory-Rawson was held to 141 total yards in last week‘s loss to L-B in which they trailed at halftime 41-0 … Andy Wagner scored on a 40-yard run in the fourth quarter and finished with 114 yards rushing for the Hornets … Leipsic ranks ninth in the conference in offense at 187.5 yards per game while Cory-Rawson is eighth at 213.5 ypg .

NOTABLE: Pandora-Gilboa leads the series between the two schools 35-5 … Pandora-Gilboa's lone touchdown came in the fourth quarter on Ethan Luginbill's 15-yard pass to Josh Maag last week … Luginbill was 9-of-15 passing for 81 yards and Cory Forney had 29 yards rushing for the Rockets … Nick Lee completed 7 of 14 passes for Vanlue, which had minus 38 yards rushing last week against Hardin Northern. Lee threw a 9-yard pass to Josh Kloepfer for Vanlue's lone score … Hardin Northern racked up 483 yards rushing last week against the Wildcats … Vanlue coach Todd Richards is seeking his first head coaching victory … A match of the BVC’s bottom ranked defenses the Rockets are giving up 359.5 yards per game while Vanlue has surrendered 437.5 yards per contest …

Ada BULLDOGS at Columbus Grove BULLDOGS

NOTABLE: Ada junior quarterback Zac Dysert shook off would-be tacklers to hit diving classmate Ron Grzybowski with a 15-yard TD pass on fourth and 10 as time expired to lift Ada to a 41-39 victory over Spencerville … Dysert completed 39 passes in 58 attempts, breaking the school marks for both of 38 and 55, respectively, he set the previous week vs. Hardin Northern. He threw for 406 yards and three scores, and ran for two more TDs. For good measure, he also booted all five extra point tries successfully … The game is Grove’s homecoming and a homecoming of sorts for Ada coach Mike Fell who used to be CG’s head coach from 1990-99 … The game is the third straight for the ‘Dogs at Clymer Stadium. They host their first four games before playing four straight on the road … Ada last beat CG 30-2 in 1996 … Grove is the defending NWC tri champs and have won three of the past 4 league titles … CG’s Jeremy Harnishfeger finished the night with 140 yards on 17 carries. Eric Maag completed 7 of 15 passes for 109 yards for the Bulldogs in last week‘s loss … Allen East‘s Blaine Schmidt ran for 222 yards last week against the CG Dog defense … Ada junior QB Zac Dysert leads the spread offense, completing 77 of 116 passes for 909 yards and eight scores … Columbus Grove: As usual, the Bulldogs love to get it done on the ground. Jeremy Harnishferger is the latest in a long line of standout Grove RBs, finishing last week with 140 yards and a 64 yard TD run … Last year, Ada only had 38 yards on 34 carries.

Delphos Jefferson WILDCATS at Bluffton PIRATES

NOTABLE: Pirates open defense of their NWC title at home at Harmon Field against Jefferson … The Wildcats were 0-10 last season but are off to a 2-0 start and are averaging 40 points per game … Garrett Fruchey scored 3 touchdowns for Bluffton, which is 2-0. Josh Falk carried 13 times for 73 yards, while Tyler Neal was 10-of-16 passing for 109 yards and 2 Tds in last week’s rout of Lockland … The Wildcats’ Derek Shively (128 yards and 2 TD's) and Andy Fitch (137 yards and 2 TD's) led the way for last week’s win … Defensively, Jefferson was led by Derek Shivley, who added 11 tackles on defense; Sean Ostin, who had 12 tackles, 3 QB Sacks, and 1 fumble recovery; and Derek Rode, who recorded 7 tackles and came away with 1 interception for the game.

NOTABLE:Patrick Henry opened defense of its NWOAL crown by whipping Swanton last week … Tom Busch was 7-for-7 passing on the night for 143 yards while Zach Bonner ran 7 times for 86 yards and caught 2 passes for 44 yards. Drew Kuesel toted the ball 12 times for 61 yards as Patrick Henry racked up 18 first downs to Swanton's 6 last week as PH led 42-0 at halftime … The Patriots have won or shared the last four NWOAL titles and are the defending Division V state champs ... The Locomotives started the NWOAL campaign with a big 14-13 overtime win against Liberty Center … Montpelier knocked off Liberty Center 14-13 in overtime to record its first win over the Tigers since 1994 .. Montpelier's Britt Barry completed 13 of 26 passes for 210 yards and Max Lamberson caught seven passes for 88 yards.

B.J. Reed added four catches for 68 yards and two scores … Wapak quarterback Drew Parker was 9-of-12 passing for 230 yards last week … Game is set for Wapak’s Harmon Field … Ottawa-Glandorf QB Tyler Closson has thrown for 393 yards with one touchdown and a pick … In Week One, the Redskins pounded the ball for 284 yards on the ground. QB Drew Parker then passed for 230 yards and two scores in Week Two. Wapakoneta is averaging 42 points per game … The Redskins have given up 552 rushing yards, but they have only faced 19 pass attempts in two games … Wapakoneta has only two winning records in the past 10 years.

He rushed 19 times for 102 yards and had touchdown runs of 8 and 36 yards.     Just an FYI....Cory Rawson is 0-2, not 1-1. Leipsic's QB is Arty Lomeli, not Marty, and their TE is Mike Benton, not Mark. GO VIKES!
