Picks -- Week 8

OK I regressed a little last week and went 13-5 picking games. That brings the season total to 88-31. I’m much more confident this week as some of the games I think are pretty cut and dried.

Next week is the big one in the BVC Hardin Northern vs. Liberty-Benton and the following week is the biggie in the MAL Hopewell-Loudon vs. Mohawk. It should be a fun couple of weeks, don’t you agree.

Anyway I will post the Week 8 notes later on tonight. In the meantime it’s time to bundle up, don my Cleveland Browns winter hat and head to Mount Blanchard for the Riverdale vs. Cory-Rawson soccer match.

Arcadia REDSKINS over Vanlue WILDCATS --- I think Vanlue will have the two best players on the field, but football is a team game, go with the Skins.
McComb PANTHERS over Cory-Rawson HORNETS -- Start printing your playoff tickets Coach Alge, you’re in.
Hardin Northern POLAR BEARS over Pandora-Gilboa ROCKETS --- It’s been a remarkable turnaround for the Rockets after the disastrous Bizovi era but the Bears won’t be caught looking ahead.
Arlington RED DEVILS over Leipsic VIKINGS --- Travis Rettig has quietly out together a terrific season for the Devils.
Liberty-Benton EAGLES over Van Buren BLACK KNIGHTS -- All playoff hopes went out he window for the Knights last week.
Fremont Ross LITTLE GIANTS over Findlay TROJANS -- This game might be closer than most people think.
Mohawk WARRIORS over Carey BLUE DEVILS -- Mohawk usually has a late season hiccup in the MAL, could the Devils be the spoiler?
Hopewell-Loudon CHIEFTAINS over North Baltimore TIGERS -- Hopewell-Loudon can work on some things the next couple of weeks in preparation for Mohawk in Week 10.
Tiffin Calvert SENECAS over Fostoria St. Wendelin MOHAWKS -- Thought the Mohawks could win last week…they didn’t.
Lima C.C. THUNDERBIRDS over Bluffton PIRATES -- T-Birds need a win and I’m not sure how the Pirates will react after last week’s shellacking.
Riverdale FALCONS over Colonel Crawford EAGLES -- Falcons need to regroup after last week’s pasting by Bucyrus this could be win No.3.
Fostoria Senior REDMEN over Norwalk TRUCKERS --- It’s been a great individual season for Micah Hyde. He’s only a sophomore and will be playing on TV on Saturday afternoons in a couple of years.
Shelby WHIPPETS over Upper Sandusky RAMS -- Whippet’s good!
Allen East MUSTANGS over Ada BULLDOGS -- Schmitt is one helluva running back and the Dogs’ will have a tough time containing him.
Columbus Grove BULLDOGS over Paulding PANTHERS -- Grove have vaulted themselves into the playoff hunt so they have something to play for the next three weeks.
Patrick Henry PATRIOTS over Archbold BLUE STREAKS -- The league and a playoff spot are on the line for the Pats the next three weeks.
Elmwood ROYALS over Otsego KNIGHTS -- Gona go with Royals in the toughest pick of the week. Last week’s close call between Otsego and Lake made me choose the Royals.
Ottawa-Glandorf TITANS over Celina BULLDOGS -- The question is can Brian Recker run for 200 yards yet again this week for the Titans.
